They were ordered nearly three months ago, but finally, fiiiinaalllly the String shelf units were delivered. The gaping hole in the living room is filled. And it was seriously the easiest piece of furniture I've ever assembled. Love.
The only downside of this location is the clump of wires that the WLAN thingie requires. Seriously, it has like fifty different cords. I'll sort them out with some wire ties at some point, but at the moment I'm far too busy marvelling at how these shelves make the living room so much cosier! It's also a bonus to have the stereo off the windowsill. It got boiling hot from the heater below, which I'm sure wasn't good for it. The plants are still struggling to live on the sills, I have to water them every other day since the communal heat of the building seems to be set on rolling boil, but I think the two I placed on the String are heaving massive sighs of relief.
So yes. This is officially officially the living room done. Er, apart from finding a ceiling light. I'm still struggling with that. So I guess it's not done, huh? Tits.
What's that? One more gratuitious shot of the shelves? Oh, go on then.
