Oh right! I have a blog. It's funny how easy it is to just...forget that. To be fair, since Berlin, I've been very busy. I'll not go into exhaustive detail about my activities, apart from saying big developments are occurring. Immigration-wise, life-wise, work-wise. It's all been a bit of a blur, and to say that I really haven't had time to write here is no exaggeration. I intend to change that though, as I've dug out my cameras and actually miss babbling on here about my activities. I spent the morning with a coffee, reading back through this blog and remembered how much I enjoyed sharing my travels and weird thought and cooking with the kind strangers who still drop by from time to time.
Life goes on, as it is wont to do. I'm mainly in Colorado for the next 2-3 years, as I try to naturalise. I'm working. I'm staying busy. I'm even meeting a few new people, which is hilarious because I'm such a social moron and clueless idiot when it comes to socialising that I come across as a weird, tongue-darting lizard to most people, I'm sure! The city I'm in now is not a very exciting one, nor a big one. It's not glamourous like Paris (ha, we won't mention the time I saw a woman shaving her nether regions on the street, legs akimbo there), or cosmopolitan like London, or wonderfully foreign to me like Helsinki. It's a small-ish town. It's a slow place. There is a bubble of new creativity that is growing here, one of which I hope to be a part, and there are pockets of "hip" areas with nice coffee shops and open-minded people. That's good. On the other hand, it is also a very religious place and there were a LOT of Trump signs and bumper stickers around here, which is a bit disappointing. But, for the foreseeable future it is where I will call home. It's time to stop lamenting the fact that Brexit happened, or that I have a weird immigration situation, and do as Ban said: "Pull your socks up and get on with it!". He's a wise little fuzzbucket, so that's what we intend to do. So, instead of European adventures, for now, you'll see a lot of the above. Dusty desert scenes, mountains, and life in America as I discover it, bit by bit.
Here's to another new adventure! And to remembering to actually blog. That, too.
